Zip! a poetry-play by Timothy David Rey (Thursday 11/7 @ 6pm @ The Poetry Foundation)
The Poetry & Poetics Colloquium invites you on a field trip to see Zip! at the Poetry Foundation THIS Thursday 11/7 at 6:00pm. “Zipis a prophetic and ghostly timewarped drama about Nancy Reagan’s fervor for astrology, interlaced with a Black gay love story, set on the eve of the AIDS epidemic and the Reagan assassination attempt. The play runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.” You can read more and register for the play HERE. The play is free to attend but you must register beforehand.
A group of us will plan to head downtown around 5pm on Thursday from Rogers Park. The play runs from 6:00pm-7:30pm, followed by a QA from 7:30pm-8:00pm. Following the play, we will head to dinner nearby for further conversation and a bite to eat. You must RSVP so the dinner reservation reflects how many people are in attendance—you can either use the link or contact S. Yarberry (syarberry@u.northwestern.edu) directly.
We hope to see you there —  Please be in touch with any questions and feel free to forward this invitation to anyone who may be interested in getting more involved with the Poetry & Poetics Colloquium.
